These notes come from mills and sewing plants that received a visit or a monthly brief. They mention the lot, the line, or the meeting — not a score out of five.
Shade drift, drawn for the buyer call
They spent the first morning on the inspection table, not in a meeting room. By Thursday the shade drift on two dye lots was drawn in a way my finishing supervisor could defend on the call with the buyer. I still had to make the call myself.

A family mill near Batumi asked for a Plant Quality Review after a European retailer queried a lot for width and shade together. The range had been run faster than the mill lab’s own notes allowed. Nino’s briefing did not invent a new cause: it put the lab slips next to the production diary and the roll tickets. The owner already suspected the speed. What the visit gave him was a page he could put on the table without accusing the night shift in public.
The follow-up was a line capability study on the stenter only. Width held when the speed returned to the figure in the old diary. Shade still needed the dyehouse, which is not our trade; we said so in writing.
